There’s nothing worse than seeing a load of favours left behind on tables at the end of the night which is why there’s always some debating over whether they’re worth it or not. But one type of favour that goes to a really worthy cause and that’s proving super popular is charity wedding favours! There are lots of brilliant charities out there working to make a difference in so many areas of society and thoughtful couples are choosing to donate the money they would have spent on favours to them instead. If you’re struggling to come up with an idea for your own Big Day but do want to do something on the favour front, there are lots of brilliant charities you can donate to. Here are 3 of them…

Make-A-Wish Ireland is a children’s charity with one simple mission – to grant wishes, to give children aged between 3 and 17 living with a life-threatening condition a magical day they will remember. A donation could give a child a much needed break from hospital visits, doctors appointments and medical treatments and in its place, an experience they’ll remember forever. If you choose to donate to Make-A-Wish Ireland as your wedding favour, they can provide wedding favour cards for each table to let guests know that you’ve donated to this lovely cause. For more information on donating to Make-A-Wish Ireland, click here.

Childhood Cancer Foundation

Childhood Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a registered charity set up and run by parents of children with cancer and a donation could make a difference to over 200 children diagnosed with cancer in Ireland each year. CCF works to raise awareness in Ireland of issues surrounding childhood cancer, advocate for improved services for children and families and help fund vital supports for parents and children that are affected by cancer. They are also working to fund the Beads of Courage Programme, an internationally recognised project that uses beads to tell each child’s story and help them understand and cope with their diagnosis. If you choose to donate to CCF, you’ll receive wedding favour cards with the option of a gold pin attached (CCF are working to raise awareness and make the gold ribbon the recognised symbol of childhood cancer) for your tables so that your guests know you’re using your happy occasion to help this great cause. For more information on donating to Childhood Cancer Foundation, click here.
